Command & Conquer: Generals 2 is a real-time strategy (RTS) video game and the eighteenth installment in the Command & Conquer series. It was released for Microsoft Windows and Mac OS operating systems in 2013 as the sequel to Command & Conquer: Generals. Set a decade after the first game, Generals 2 picks up at the conclusion of the Chinese campaign of Zero Hour. Generals 2 utilizes the Frostbite 2 engine, which is also used in Battlefield 3 and Need for Speed: The Run. In the game, the player can choose from three different factions: the European Union, the Eastern Asian Forces, and the Global Liberation Army.

Plot[]

Generals 2 takes place almost 10 years after the events of the first game, with players given a choice of three factions to play. In Generals 2, the Eurasian Unity League fragmented into two factions: the European Union and the Eastern Asian Forces. The Global Liberation Army returns once again as the main antagonist terrorist faction of the Generals universe.

The game begins two years after the GLA bombing of the Eurasian peace treaty signing, which was meant to end the Sino-European Conflict that caused the split of the Eurasian Unity League into the European Union and the Asian-Pacific Alliance. With the two belligerents leaderless, the Global Liberation Army began their attack worldwide, overthrowing governments in Eastern Europe and West Asia. This event later escalated into the Second GLA War.
